My Story

When I was 12 years old, I knew God was calling me to be a missionary in Africa. I told my pastor.

He thought it was great but since I was only 12, he assumed it was just a "phase". I told my mom.

With excitement, she designed my homeschool curriculum around missions and I read as many books

as I possibly could about missionaries and Africa. The summer before my senior year in high school,

I went back to my pastor and asked him what I should do before I became a missionary after I

graduated. He was so excited that it was not just a phase, and he sent my on my way to Uganda at the

age of 16.

I fell in love. My passion for Africa burned even more. I knew God was making this new, foreign

place my home. I love living in Uganda and I pray God will keep me here for many years to come!

  1. How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Africa, "Your God reigns!"
